Game Overview:
The game is set in the period after the Japanese war when the entire Samurai clan was left high and dry. Faced with hardships and bereft of material wealth, the warriors who braved the battle front were now forced to take up odd jobs to survive.
A samurai believed that a man's honour was in his sword, most of them parted ways and went on in search of knowledge and power. They developed their own fighing styles and went on quests in search of legends.
The player play as a warriors fighting to prove who was more skilled (PVP) or quest with his comrades. (PVE) The combat system is easy to understand but extemely hard to master, the game is designed to be launched in two big expansions to allow for a steep learning curve. The next expansion will open up new forms of gameplay.
My aim is to create a sandbox mmo that reflects the japanese way of life during the edo period. I have taken my inspiration from a number of anime (Samurai champloo, Afrosamurai) analysis of older traditional MMOGs (Perfect world Entertainment, Forsaken World) and a number of other movies aswell.
Being an MMORPG there are a large number of elements that I keep updated on a daily basis in my GDD. I am very open to ideas and would love to get help on how to improve my MMORPG, so please feel free to contact me to discuss more.
